Saikripa Art Award was presented to Manalur Gopinath

Manalur Gopinath (Ottenthullal) has been awarded the inaugural Sai Kripa Award instituted Guruvayur sai sanjeevani trust for personalities who have made integral contributions to the propagation and development of temple arts. The award was presented by Tantri Brahmashree Chennas Dinesan Namboothiripad of Guruvayur Temple. The award consists of 11 thousand one hundred and eleven rupees, certificate, Ponnada and Gurumudra. Trust Chairman Maunayogi Swami Harinarayanan presided over the function and Major Ravi was the chief guest. Vishwakarma Kula Peedadheeshwar Swami Sadhu Krishnananda Saraswati wore Ponnada. A special mention was made by the award committee for presenting a thesis on Ottenthullal at the Glasgow University of Scotland and giving thousands of students an opportunity to learn about this temple art through a project called Pakarnattam. Manalur Gopinath, Arun Nambiar, Sabitha Ranjith and Aswathi Sreekumar spoke.
